Lola Solis Cameron

Welcome to my Media Arts portfolio from 2022-23. I was ecstatic to take this class because it gave me the resources to develop my Graphic Design skills for the first time. The course primarily explored the mechanics of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but expanded further with an introduction to alternate design tools such as Blender. I am enticed by Game Design as well as animated visuals for music videos, festivals and other events. Overall, I aspire to develop the tools I need to immortalize my imagination, personally and professionally, and this portfolio illustrates a step towards that dream.

P.S. I am now 20 years old and I am still proud of these little designs that began as class assignments. I am much more adept at these softwares now (3 years later) and I am curently applying them towards my Architecture education at Tulane University. Portfolio is coming soon. Enjoy! ☆

Patterns

My inspiration for this collection stemmed from my fascination with electronic music. The genre captures me because of its free interpretation. Without the guiding lens of lyrics, electronic songs resonate drastically differently for every listener. This is where electronic music and classical piano, another meaningful hobby of mine, draw a strong parallel. In other words, both elicit feelings beyond the scope of language. The dark themes in these patterns are inspired by artists like Rezz, Subtronics, and Deadmau5.
